From best practices to next practices: inspiration for modern leadership
Leadership in transition? This year's DGFP conference asked precisely this question – and focused on how we can actively shape change, make courageous decisions, and put humanity and sustainability at the center of our efforts.
Julia Bindrich (Managing Director of ICU Business Consulting GmbH) and Fritz Audebert (CEO & Founder of ICUnet.Group) were also in attendance, bringing new perspectives on modern leadership and returning with just as many inspiring ideas from other speakers.
Their presentation focused on “allyship” – a leadership quality that is more relevant today than ever before. In times of growing uncertainty and social tensions, leadership is needed that specifically empowers and creates a culture of belonging.
Beyond that, the format also offered powerful food for thought, honest exchange, and diverse perspectives on the future of leadership and HR.
What do we take away from the conference – and what are we happy to pass on?
Leadership and leadership development are diverse – there is no one way
Measuring effectiveness is a challenge for HR – one that we should all address.
Sharing best practices helps us all move forward – and creates incentives.
And what do we believe is needed for effective development programs?
Top-down commitment: Leadership must lead by example.
Co-creation: Actively involve teams.
Embrace diversity: Learning and development paths are individual—combined approaches often have a stronger impact.
Communication is key: Multi-channel is a clear recommendation.
Be brave enough to try something new: New tools, formats, or self-nomination? Just give it a try!
We look back on inspiring conversations, clear messages, and fresh perspectives on the future of leadership.
Thank you to the DGFP for a great setting and the opportunity to exchange ideas with so many committed people.
